This Privacy Policy describes how Phrazed (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Phrazed mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
I. Information We Collect

When you use the Service, we may collect information you provide directly, including:
- Information provided through third-party login services (such as Apple, Google, or Facebook), which may include your name, email address, and profile information depending on your settings with those services.
- User-generated content you submit within the app.

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device identifiers and technical information
- IP address or approximate location
- App usage and gameplay data
- Crash reports and performance logs
- Analytics data related to how you interact with the Service
c. Payment Information
- All in-app purchases are processed by third-party app stores (such as Apple App Store or Google Play).
- We do not collect or store your credit card or payment information.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Authenticate users and manage accounts
- Enable gameplay features and content

- Perform human review of anonymized User-Generated Content to ensure compliance with our safety guidelines and to improve our language models.
III. Third-Party Services and AI Processing
We share information with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the Service. These third parties are contractually obligated to provide the same or equal protection of user data as set forth in this policy.
a. Generative AI Service Providers (AWS Bedrock)
To provide game results and AI-generated content, the Service utilizes AWS Bedrock (Amazon Web Services).
- Data Transmitted: We only transmit non-identifiable, user-generated "phrases" or text prompts to the AI service.
- Data Excluded: We do not share your name, email address, User ID, IP address, or any other personal identifiers with AI model providers.
- Usage: Data sent to AWS Bedrock is used solely to generate in-game results and is processed within our private, secure infrastructure.
b. Other Third-Party Providers
We also share limited data with the following categories of providers:
- Authentication Providers: Apple, Google, and Facebook (to manage secure account login).
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (for secure data storage and hosting).
- Analytics & Performance: Service providers that help us monitor app stability and crash reports.
- Advertising Partners: Third-party networks that deliver in-app advertisements.
All third-party partners process information in accordance with their respective privacy and safety policies.
IV. Advertising & Analytics
The Service may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks. These partners may use device identifiers or similar technologies to deliver ads and measure performance.
You can control ad tracking preferences through your device settings.
V. Children’s Privacy
Phrazed is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
VI. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service. When an account is deleted, we permanently destroy all personal identifiers (including your email, username, and third-party authentication tokens). This process begins immediately upon your request, but it may take a short time to fully scrub your username and identifiers from all shared game content across the app.
Because Phrazed is a multiplayer ecosystem, non-identifiable game contributions (such as AI-generated images, submitted phrases, and anonymous match scores) are retained indefinitely as anonymized system telemetry to maintain service integrity and leaderboards for other players.
VII. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
VIII. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent where applicable
You may initiate the permanent deletion of your account and all personal data directly within the App Settings menu. Deletion requests are processed immediately upon confirmation.
IX. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
